Yashasvi Jaiswal Shatters History Books, Becomes First Indian Ever To Bag This Record

Yashasvi Jaiswal became the first Indian to score 150 runs in his debut Test innings, away from home.

The name of Yashasvi Jaiswal is on every fan's lips. The opening bater, making his international debut, went past the 150-run mark on Day 3 of the first Test against West Indies, having scored his  maiden Test ton on the second day in Dominica. Resuming the innings on the third day at 143, Jaiswal needed just 7 runs to make history. He wasted little time in going past the 150-run mark, becoming the First Indian batter to do that on his debut in an overseas match.

For the record, Shikhar Dhawan who holds the Record for scoring the most Runs on Test debut for an Indian. However, His 187-run Knock had Come against Australia at home (in March 2013). Even Rohit Sharma scored 177 in his debut Test innings but his knock also came at home, against West Indies in 2013. Sharma got out on 171, thus becoming the third highest scorer for India on a Test debut.
