Yashasvi Jaiswal became the first Indian to score 150 runs in his debut Test innings, away from home.

The opening bater, making his international debut, went past the 150-run mark on Day 3 of the first Test against West Indies, having scored his maiden Test ton on the second day in Dominica. Resuming the innings on the third day at 143, Jaiswal needed just 7 runs to make history. He wasted little time in going past the 150-run mark, becoming the First Indian batter to do that on his debut in an overseas match.

Sharma got out on 171, thus becoming the third highest scorer for India on a Test debut.
